Dear Friends-
My re-election campaign is off to a great start! The campaign is in a strong position leading up to the June 4th qualifying date. I’m feeling positive, energized and ready to work for you for another four years.
Before I go further, I first want to first thank you for affording me the privilege to serve as your Clerk since 2001. Your trust in my abilities and my strong determination has allowed us to marry business with bureaucracy by linking measurements to operations and standards to service. We've accomplished a lot, but still have much more to do.
I've set the bar high and have cultivated a culture that delivers excellence through efficiency and effectiveness in everything we do. The results have been outstanding -
- Achieving 97% in customer service satisfaction,
- Being the recipient of the Governor's Sterling Award for performance excellence, and
- Launching a customer centric website visited by 240 million visitors each year.
Even in these economically challenging times where the state forced a 17% budget cut in 2009 followed by a further 7% cut beginning July 1, my office was and is prepared because efficiency and effectiveness are part of our 11 year culture.
Results are proof. Now, I need your help to keep the momentum of building an exemplary Orange County Clerk's office.
